Description
The qualified candidate is expected to develop and conduct training courses for Content staff in Beijing; he/she will also be responsible for training administration activities and liaison with external vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering Thomson Reuters Content, Products or Financial Markets related courses on regular basis
- Manage routine learning admin activities for site learning team
- Liaise with Content team managers and Subject Matter Experts to deliver learning solutions
- Developing new training/learning materials by consolidating the learning needs from the department managers and by any other top-down or bottom-up requests
- Using a range of methodologies to support learning, examples include workshop, virtual classroom (WebEx), eLearning, workbooks, newsletter, etc.
- Updating the learning roadmaps on the internal learning website
- Organising a training timetable for the most efficient learning arrangements
- Sourcing and Liaising with external vendors to meet various training needs, lead the discussion with the training requesters and external trainers on course customization
- Maintaining communication channels with other functions and departments in order to share information relating to requirements
- Leverage with global learning resources to provide learning services to Beijing site
- Improve the training effectiveness
- Promote the learning culture and the blended learning solution

Requirements
Skills & Experience Required:
- Good experience in software development or testing, and solid knowledge on computer science applications in financial industry, data base application or networking or object-oriented design & programming etc.
- Sound experience or knowledge on various learning methodology such as eLearning, workshop, WebEx etc.
- Knowing Thomson Reuters Products, Customers & Networks will be an advantage
- Fluent in English and Mandarin both written and spoken
- Experienced in conducting classroom training or knowledge sharing, and good presentation skills.
- Able to understand highly complex subjects and explain in simple terms
- A fast learning, highly analytical, quick action taking person preferred
- Good interpersonal skills and willing to work under pressure
- Passionate in learning and delivering training
Qualifications
Degree holder of Computer Science/Electric Engineering/Financial Markets studies or equivalent working experiences and competencies
